Headteacher Sharon Keelan-Beardsley expressed her delight with the GCSE outcomes for the Class of 2026 at All Saints Catholic School in York.

“This was a truly wonderful year group who made a lasting impression on our school community,”

she said.

“Throughout their time at All Saints, they consistently demonstrated the qualities we value most in our young people, displaying respect, kindness, resilience, compassion and a willingness to support others. We are incredibly proud of all they have achieved.“Their success is a reflection of the dedication and commitment of the students, supported by the strong partnership between school and families.

“The encouragement of parents and carers, together with the hard work and dedication of our staff, enabled this year group to flourish. We would like to thank everyone who played a part in supporting them throughout their time at All Saints.”

There were some phenomenal individual success stories, including students who achieved grade 9s across every subject they studied, as well as students who have overcome significant personal adversity to achieve outstanding results.

There were also excellent outcomes across a wide range of subjects, contributing to an overall improvement in attainment.

For example, all students study Religious Education at All Saints, with 50% achieving grades 7-9 and an impressive 32 students achieving a grade 9.

In other core subjects, students also achieved excellent results. In Science, for example, 28% of those studying separate sciences achieved a grade 9 in Biology

Mrs Keelan-Beardsley added:

“The majority of our young people will continue into our highly successful sixth form, where we look forward to seeing them continue to grow, achieve and contribute to our warm and caring community.”
