Today, leaders from across the Diocese of Middlesbrough come together in York for the 2026 Leadership Conference, focused on the theme of Encounter.

The day will explore transformational encounters, Catholic Social Teaching and the role of hope in leadership, with keynote sessions from Sister Judith Russi.

Today, we celebrate the life of St Augustine, Bishop of Hippo, whose profound writings and conversion story continue to inspire countless souls on the journey toward God. From a life of searching to a heart fully surrendered to God’s grace, Augustine reminds us that no matter how far we wander, God’s love is always calling us home.
